Sandoval gives the Sox a very good 5, maybe can get a few more outs

They had Schlittler ready to go but no one could get a hit or a coherent thought

I think JB said earlier that if Sandoval could get 5 innings allowing only 2 runs we would be OK.

But Joe assumes the Red Sox will score at some point

In a game with Sandy v Schlittler, at YS, down 1-0 after 5 is still okay.  3.2 IPs left to get to him or get to the BP.

Mona would have walked in the tying run but he had to chase the high FB before a simple fly ball

12 straight scoreless innings for our beloved overachieving Sox.

Looks like 15 consecutive innings now

Yeah, Monasterio missed that but there’s no way on earth Story gives you that kind of at bat. Simply no way.

Sandoval be done.

Need a Weissert special DP

This is what happens when scoring opportunities are wasted.

Just keep pressing this pitching staff

All started with Rafaela’s stupidity.

Weissert looked very good with lots of pitch movement.

Game is very winnable but someone has to hit

Without the this BP the Sox would be sniffing fumes.

Well, Sandy did his job.  Now the lineup needs to support that effort.

Geez Rafaela is often very stupid at baseball.

Yup

He a very bad baserunner. He needs to improve

If MLB games were 8 innings long he'd have a few quality starts. This also holds true for 3 other starters.

Did anyone see Rafaela 's running on that ball ? He was thinking it would be caught this time.  Wouldn't have mattered

Willson can't hit a decent flyball

They had to send him. It took a perfect throw to get him. Still, it’s an out and this game is over

Rafaela’s base running is killing this team.

I agree Raffy had to go on that but I'm on Willson for the weak fly ball

It's games like this we win.

We lose to the no-names.

Through 6.5 innings this has been way more competitive (1-0 Yankees) than I expected.  Sandoval was terrific.

Rafaela has hurt the good guys with two baserunning errors, which might have been 1b and 3b coaching errors.
