Anybody think the TDL affects minds like Duran's and once the anxiety is over they can function until the next mindbender?

The TDL affects players differently. Some don't want to be traded. Some want to be traded. And some don't care as long as they keep getting paid.

Professional hitters make fools of pitchers who throw meatballs with no movement.

Like I said pregame. Sox will be tired and low energy tonight.

Wonder whether someone has told Duran that he has to stop swinging at fastballs up the strike zone in a regular basis. It’s absurd how much he chases those and misses.

One of these streaks will be broken tonight. Stay tuned.

You want that I should double-check the math on that one?

Yes, and particularly yes on duran.

Have no idea why Rogers was batting under Mendoza but his presence and discipline at the plate look great to my ears in these 2 couple of games.

That was one of the biggest things when we got Schwarber.  Players were like 'wait, you get four balls and then they let you walk to 1st?'.

Turns out that 31-5 info I got from both YouTube and Google was incorrect. Never trust YouTube or AI again.

I think the dude can, and will, contribute.  But he swings at a pitch over his head, and then takes strike three?  Incredibly frustrating.

So now I got money in the market, and you're telling me that AI is a bad bet?  SMH!

I don't believe that Duran has used an ABS challenge this season so far

Another great AB and a double. Amazing how contagious this has become.

Exactly. At some points IMO it has been 100% mental. His BABIP wasn’t helping either.

Along those lines,  Cedanne Rafaela is a dangerous hitter and has had some timely hits.

Just imagine if he had any ability to judge pitches and force the pitcher to throw in the strike zone.

He would be a perennial all star and $300 millionaire

According to AI, the A's are 10-0 when down by 7 this season.

Watch out the A's comeback just started.  9-1 is not insurmountable

Rogers, a career .569 OPS hitter coming in knocking 2 dubs in the first 2 AB's of his first start, is this run in a nutshell.

So do you think Weissert actually has to go to Worcester or can he just hang out in the clubhouse or JH's suite until Monday ?

His OBP and OPS is astounding and makes AR irrelevant

So, we all wanted Tolle to go deep, but now with a big lead, at what point are we comfortable handing it over to Burgos to take it home, and not add innings on Tolle unnecessarily? Genuinely curious. Only 65 pitches, but Burgos is a starter so he can go 3 or 4 if we trust him to not get smoked.

The problem with Duran is that he requires runners in scoring position to get a hit. He's hitting.284 in that situation as of last night.

Which is why he's 2nd in RBI on the Sox.

He can help JH count his money.
