The Sox could get a lot (assuming they know what prospects to ask for, and thats a HUGE assumption) for Sonny if they trade him to a contender. He has been pitching great and he will be a difference maker for a good team.

That's a Bingo.

Another fine job by Sonny tonight. If he gets the win, he'll be tied for 2nd in MLB with 8 wins. There's a 3 way tie for 1st with 9 wins.

8 wins on this team at this point in the season is amazing.

Here's an interesting baseball fact. From what I could find only 7 pitchers in MLB history have won 20 or more games on teams that lost 90 or more games. The most amazing was in 1972 when Steve Carlton won 27 games for a Phillies' team that went 57-97. Steve finished the season 27-10 with a 1.97ERA.

He should be on the All-Star team.

In 1962 Roger Craig won 20 games for a Mets' team that lost 120 games. Roger also lost 24 games that same season. 20-24, think about that when you see how pitchers are treated today.

Take a laugher, especially at Fenway, when you can get one.

Previous attempts at starting a streak have fizzled but maybe this is the one

Ignore the above. The Internet gave me bogus info. Craig was only 10-24 in 1962.

That's what Mickey Rooney said about his 8 different wives.
