Does Mayer look defeated in his current slump ? Carrying the bat and wandering towards 1st on his weak flyball to right.

Thought you were passing “on watching the guys today.”

But you are correct in that observation; his swings look terrible and his body language says hes not exactly confident up there.

SOX have 9 outs left to score at least 3.

After the 4 run anomaly yesterday in the first, they only scored 2 more, which were gifts due to Twin misplays. Today they have scored 1 through 6 full. That's another 14 innings for 3 runs at home

Really a weak team

Not watching, getting it telepathically

Doc Brown’s device didn’t work in 1955 and it doesn’t work now.

I'm reading Orwell's 1984 for its humor between innings. Seeing the game relayed between the lines

Despite all the brilliant research some folks on this site do to assess players, just look at who is playing today and it is all you need to know:

IKF , Gasper, Sogard, and Wong, Monasterio PH ing. WTF

Duran and Mayer hitting in low .200s

A line-up even Joe Friday would disapprove of.

Luckily, Breslow doesn’t control the past, because he sure as hell controls the present.  Hopefully he won’t control the future.

Well, he was the 11th pick, or was it the 12th?

Breslow cannot control the injuries and his pitching staff has given the team lots of opportunities .

However the position player roster is seriously poorly built

You are correct ! Unusual to say the least

But this is what you get when Mickey G is your DH.

Although he has some of the best stats (SSS) on the team. What are you gonna do ?
