But Guerrero is not the guy pumping out 102-103 mph fastballs like he did in Miami.  Couple that with the fact the he couldn’t find the strike zone if the house he grew up in was in it.  I think he is more likely to be kerosene on a fire.  But I suppose Breslow did bring him on board for some sort of reason.

I’d move Bello to the bullpen first.  The Sox have 5 starters without him and have Crochet coming back at some point…

15/5 K/W in 13 IPs against minor leaguers doesn't impress me that much.

Currently we have only 4 SPs, including Bello.  We got lucky with Bennett, but we can't go to the well too often.  When Suarez returns, then we have 5.  Only when Crochet returns will we have a decision to make.

It seems obvious that he is getting direction from the FO analysts , maybe direct from Breslow.

I assume that every manager gets input from the FO.  If all a manager did was to start the top-9 OPS', I'm pretty sure I could do that.

Only because they happened to show it, the TB catcher was just switching out his communication device.  All the pitches are called by the manager or the FO.  There is an actual science to this.

The best pitch Durbin saw there was a cookie fastball right down the middle which he took. Then he strikes out looking, begging for a walk. He is terrible.

We can’t go to the well too often? Or what? We’ll end up in last place?

Oh wait…..

Batting .180 with no power. He’s Bregmans budget replacement.

No post war pitcher had a better season than Gibson in 1968. He started 34 games and completed 28. He pitched a total of 304 innings. His ERA was a microscopic 1.12 with 13 shut outs. He finished the season at 22-9. Oh, his WHIP was .853.

How weak was the Cardinals' line-up? Gibby lost 9 games.

Best RH pitcher I ever saw.

And he never needed TJ surgery.

The left side of the Sox infield is disgusting offensively.

Caleb Durbin would be a really good hitter if.......he was back in college playing Division III baseball for Washington University in St. Louis.

He peaked in his 1st season.

And with a 4 man rotation and no pitch counts.

It they had them, they pitched through them. Most good pitchers threw multiple complete games and over 300 innings a season

The Red Sox do have some really good young LH pitchers to build around: Crochet, Early, Tolle, Bennett, plus Ranger. They just need some guys that can hit and two more good bullpen guys. Then get rid of all the other dead weight.

His only home run is off of a position player.

Durbin is the poster child for Henry’s tightwad style.

It was said a team could win with good pitching and defense. But I think that was before BP's became such a major part of the game. The Sox BP right now negates the good pitching part of the equation.

Or the FOs inability to judge young talent.

Bres thought he was stealing one wth Durbin
