Romero's problem is that his glove is mediocre and he switched from a contact guy to a power guy. The manager loves him, but he took a big step back this season. At least he's stayed healthy recently. 

Bleis hasn't had a decent season since the FCL. I don't see anything there with him.

I've kinda given up on these 3, but prospects sometimes bloom later.

They gave up Chris Murphy for him, so I figured he must have some value.

His numbers were not great before the trade. BTW, e as a .421 OBP to go along with the HRs.

Futrell might be a sleeper. He had a good day: 8K and 0BB in 5 IP. (5H and 2 ER) Winnay had 3 hits w HR and Brannon & Cespedes had 2 hits.

WOO lost. KC went 1-3 w 2B & BB (.746)

Jackson hit his 18th in the GRE win.

Arias Watch, Saturday afternoon in WOO:

Franklin had a great at bat -- with two outs and a 2-2 count, fouled off 5 consecutive low and outside sweepers... pitcher Richard Gallardo then bounced one, allowing a run to score, then hung one, which Arias ripped up the middle for a well-earned single. The worn-out Gallardo then gave up a double to Eaton, and a walk to Gasper, until Romy drilled a bases-loaded two-run single to put Woo ahead.

The entire rally was ignited by Arias, now one of only two minor leaguers with at least a .315 BA and 23 HRs (the other is Zac Veen, 4 years older and 73 pounds heavier).

I'm trying to avoid getting too excited about a prospect, but Arias is making that near impossible. If we could just pencil him into the SS position for 6 years and do well, our everyday roster would look pretty damn solid for many years to come...

Maybe we fill 1B with Gonzales, Mead or some sort of Romy/Casas/Winnay/Brannon mix. Replacing Duran might be addition by subtraction. Wong is the back-up catcher, so...

Romy's no prospect, but he went 4-5 tonight. Wehunt pitched okay in the loss.

POR got drilled badly.

GRE lost 4-2, but Brown pitched well, and Gonzales & Gutierrez both  had 2 hits.

SAL made it 0-4 for the Sox farm, as Delzine did poorly. Primera and Maginnis homered.

Holobetz is trying to show he's not at the top of the rotation depth chart. 2.2 IP, 6 hits, 6ER, 2BB & 4Ks. WOO lost 9-6. Romero (12) and Delay (3) homered. Delay had 3 hits. Nobody else had 2.

POR lost 8-6. Remember, all 4 farm teams lost yesterday. Winnay went 2-4 w a dinger. Maybe he gets promoted to AAA. He's at .831. Woo currently has Romy & Hickey at 1B.
