Jack Winnay is still learning 3b, but may be taken off of it sooner than later.

28 G, 9 E, .866 %

He was 1B/OF in College. I think having him play 3B was to find him more AB's and to fill an org need.

Winnay homered twice, yesterday. He had a great month (1.123.) On the season, he has drawn 43 BBs, which is more than the #2 (Godbout 22) and #3 (IJack 19) Sox farm players combined.

Feels like a lost season early on for Romero. Was hoping he'd continue to tick up.

I've never been as high as sxoprospects.com on Romero. I felt the same about Castro.

I used to be higher on Cespedes, then all but gave up on him, and now look.

Bleis looks like a goner, now. (Maybe he'll pull a Cespedes.)

Is it too early to start raving about the advances our farm has made over the last 1-2 years in the area of Catching?

Franklin Primera (IFA Sept '24) in FCL as an 18 year old. He has a 1.092 OPS in 47 ABs.

Luke Heyman (2025 trade for Hoppe) Recently promoted to A+ as a 22 year old. He's hitting .833 in A-/A+ ball.

Geraldo Rodriguez (IFA '23) In A+ as a 20 year old.

Hudson White (drafted in '2024) In A+ as a 23 year old. .766 at GRE.

Johanfran Garcia (IFA '22 is not really recent, but he missed some time with an injury.) .774 at POR w 8 HRs in 108 ABs

Adonys Guzman (2025 trade involving Oviedo & Jh Garcia) ,717 at A-/A+

Ronny Hernandez (2025 trade for Chris Murphy) In A+

Jorge Rodriguez (IFA '24) in FCL as a 19 y/o. 1.001 OPS in just 25 ABs.

Jason Delay and Matt Thaiss (decent MiLB winter AAA signings) 1.248 OPS in 31 ABs lead the Sox minors.

Nate Baez (2025 trade for Tristan Gray) in AA as a 25 year old. .807 with Portland.

Brooks Brannon plays 1B, now, but could maybe be a 3rd catcher. He's hitting .995 at AA. Nathan Hickey is a similar guy and is at .695 w WOO.

FCL won 14-10 with only 4 hits! They drew 15 BBs!!! Sox pitchers allowed 10 hits and walked 14!

DSL began the season today. The Red team allowed 11Bs and 13 hits, but the team won 13-11 on 10 hits and 8 BBs. The Blue team lost 9-6 and allowed 10 BBs and 12 hits. Rubel Arias homered.

In the 3 rookie league games, our pitchers walked 35 batters and allowed 35 Hits! Damn!

Bleis hasn't had a good statline since FCL in '22. He's toast.

The pitching is really dreadful in DSL and FCL. Can't rely on those numbers for much of anything TBH. Scary how bad some of the pitching has been early on. At least with DSL and FCL, there's a little bit of an excuse.

He's hitting the ball a lot harder than last season. The results aren't there yet on the field, but the underlying data is ok. He needs to keep playing it out.

29 K’S in 64 AB isn’t exactly hitting much at all.

A kernal of hope, but the Ks are frightening.

2 more to keep your eye on, in your spare time:

M. White - love the swing. Please do not sleep on him. If he can learn to pick up the spin of the ball and hit off speed and not chase with two strikes, he might surprise some people,

tucker - defensively, he makes devers look like a gold glover!!  But offensively, he reminds me of a young rafeala!!! Strange how a guy with no plan, strategy or vision when he steps in the batters box, is able to get so many hits!!!  Definitely a guy to watch (in your spare time) going forward.

Keeping Winnay at 3b so that they can play Antonio Anderson at 1b for some reason.
