They brought Hamilton up for the reason you saw in top 9, PLUS he may be in a better mindset than Campbell right now.  Hamilton may be able to handle being on a yo-yo for the rest of this year .  I don't know why Campbell is struggling so much except for reasons set out way early in the thread.

Just a reminder that, even though everyone of us is familiar with all kinds of stats, baseball can build tension like you wouldn't believe.  In it's purest form it's hitter vs pitcher although I think the Sox benefitted from better defense than the Twins. 

Ain't it something how Duran plays CF like he belongs there?  Of course I prefer Rafaela, but he's also pretty good at 2b and allows Cora to put 3 lefty bats in the outfield.  Anthony, Duran, and Abreu has 6 of the Sox 10 hits tonight.  Duran and Abreu had the only Sox doubles.  And Anthony came through like champ in the 9th.  Just 6 days ago Anthony struck out 4 times against the Phillies.

And several of us too.  He had accomplished nothing to warrant the extension.  His hot start in April proved a bit deceptive.   People talk about the FO/Cora jerking Devers around, well I contend they may have really messed up Kristian's mind.

Because it was tied after 8 innings ( 3-3), the Twins must have their  AB's in the 9th where they could lose, tie or win the game.    The last half of 9th could be played tomorrow prior to the next game.

Messes with the BP though because the Sox will need a closer effort, then play the whole next game. Look out if the Twins tie it up and go Xtra's
