It's the epitome of Spring Training. He was running hard to 3b and got picked off by the pitcher. Why get caught in a rundown and risk injury in a meaningless game? It's not like he was lollygagging, it just wasn't worth the contested slide or rundown at that point. I'm sure Cora agrees.
