The Flops are doing exactly what they need to do to improve their draft position. The question is, can we catch Toronto for last place. I think it’s full throttle to last!

I'm still hoping for a 78-84 season. It's only 3 games under .500 and still qualifies as mediocre.

I'm thinking it is 4-8 for these last 12, getting them to 79 wins so Sam Kennedy can point to the improvement over the prior two 78-84 s.

Actually 3 years running at 78-84 is a difficult feat but it is possible.

It's a goal that could easily be achieved and in so doing might be a record for having the same W/L record for 3 years straight.

Will nice to be done with Pivetta for good.

For the right price he’d be fine as a #5-6 in the rotation. Maybe $8-10m a year.

I agree. Having that one game improvement would be important to the franchise and the fans.

Have to admit, assuming they are going to lose just about every remaining game I’d rather see players who are actually trying out there rather than bums who are already thinking of their golf games

In fact, if the SOX can improve by one game each forthcoming season, they should make the playoffs in 2035.

I don’t think they can do it.

"In the year 2035 will man still be alive?"

Yes

And Rafaela, Wong, ONeill and the rest of the bums on this team will still have zero K zone recognition.

I sure hope Nevers has a big season planned for 2025.     Happy for him that his defense has improved.

If you think his shoulder condition is impeding his hitting, then why is he still swinging like a gorilla, but missing a lot  ?

Like I'd posted a couple other times, he finished last season terribly, also.

A 2 out soft liner combined with a slow LF'er and you give up 3 runs.   Concede the 9th.

Following these guys since the A-S break has been miserable.

But there is only 10 more years on his deal.  Should be able to move him along after 8 or 9

Because the sore shoulder messes with his timing…

I have never seen a player look more like he was running in molasses than O'Neil.

He is a free agent after this season I believe. He is probably looking for more money than the Sox are willing to pay thank God. If he wants to take DH money and stay out of the field, that might work. Sox can move the "other slow guy" Masa .

Frankly, I want them both gone and the catcher. Get some arms. We can't pitch and if you can't pitch almost at all you won't win enough to matter.
