If Bailey straightened Garcia out, Andrew should be back in everyone's good graces.

Bailey screwed him up and the Garcia learned to tune him out!!!

Gotta hate those guys who only focus when it matters the most... and otherwise give away all their other at bats.

It's not like they're lucky they bat at the bottom of the order, and by the time pitchers face them, they're spent from trying so hard not to let the heart of the order beat them. Pitchers who let a guy like Bill Mueller win a batting crown batting 9th must be unclutch.

Mueller only had 7 PA’s hitting 9th in 2003 when he won the batting title.

Great series win. Assumed game 3 was in the L column at the start.

I mostly did as well. Criswell does not have good stuff, but it worked today. Verlander gave up 2 early runs, but then got nasty. Thus the Sox led 2-1 when the bullpens took over and the Sox bullpen was miraculously unscored upon for the 2d straight game.

Also impressive are the Sox ongoing ability to score runs.

I absolutely did not expect Casas to be an asset early, but he is--hitting and catching throws to 1b.

Casas tends to be a slow starter. The extended time in WOO seems to have helped fix that.

Agree. To his enduring credit, he kept at it despite ongoing pain, especially, when fouling off pitches.
