Harvey must be the uncle.

Abreu is clueless. In two at bats, he was thrown 8 straight balls--that is, pitches comfortably outside the strike zone. In the first at bat he struck out swinging--not fouls or foul tips--on 3 of those balls. In the 2d at bat, he got two balls, remained completely oblivious that he he had yet to see a pitch in the strike zone, and swung at the 3d pitch, also outside the strike zone, and grounded out weakly.

Then because he failed to hit, he butchers a ball down the RF line turning it into a triple. A good player having a bad night, but they all do at Fenway..

Pivetta throwing a 5+ inning gem but no support and gives up a "first of the year" Hr to Badoo

Sox reaching a new low, being No F'ing hit at home . Flaherty is a good pitcher but not going to be in the Cy Young discussion

Infield positioning of Grissom helps that time turn a bouncer into a DP.

I guess the Sox batters are so awed by seeing 21st Century RS true Ws winners that they are star struck and can't see the ball. An embarrassing show for the RS HoF'ers. But time yet for a comeback

Harvey Wallbangers were a popular drink in the 70's. It tasted like an orange creamsickle, but it would knock you on your ass once you vacated your seat.

Solo Hr's are so last week . The current mode of day is NoHo's

Not only do these guys swing at really bad pitches, they then take obvious strikes for the punchout. Truly clueless at times. Not only being no hit , they only have one walk to put them over the minimum # of batters by 1.

In his 3d AB vs Flaherty, Devers saw 6 pitches, none of which were in or even near the strike zone, and he swung at 3 of them.

Before OB accuses another team of having a player with a bad contract, he should first look at the team he announces for.

And there's more than just one.

If I was a betting man, I would bet that the Red Sox won’t get above .500 again this season, given their form and upcoming schedule.

By the end of June they could be close to 10 games under .500

We do play DET and CWS in 7 of the next 9 games, so I would not be so sure.

That being said, I would not bet we do get over .500, again.

Martin pulled a nutty, because the Brewers were bunting on him, so I guess it scared the Tigers to not bunt, so they hit HR off him instead. Batter up!

I like "Martin pulled a nutty" because that's in fact what he did.

Silly, but apt. Martin is definitely our guy, but griping about those bunts was just dumb.

I have been up and down like a rollercoaster this spring, and last night was a complete nosedive. It was in fact the perfect game for Martin to have a bad night because the Sox weren't going to score any runs.
