Devers is not a "good hitter?"

Of course he is, but most every one (not you) wants to diss Masa as a hitter. I was just saying that there should be more concern about Devers than Masa.

I have seen all the Kenley Jansen I want to see this season. He will render himself untradeable.

He hasn't let up a run, this year, but this looks bad, and 5 BBs before this was not a good sign.

1st run Slaten's given up since the 1st game of the season.

He didn't let up a run in the 1st game. This was the first all year.

Not even any unearned runs.

Why?

Devers will be over .800 by September, and maybe .850+.

Yoshida might end up at .750.

I never worry about Devers' O.

Agreed. If he was any good, the Dodgers would have kept him.

Combining his sensitive shoulder with his over agressive swing, I'd say there's cause for concern.

Drama when you don't need it.

Actually, I found the 9th most impressive. Jansen did everything to give the game away, and then he got two K's for the save, one of them against one of the best hitters in MLB. Dazzlingly good, Mr. Jansen.

He led the league in saves, the year after leaving LAD (1.047 WHIP in a 64 IP, while leading MLB in games finished w ATL)

That year, LAD had 43 sva and 18% BSvs (70%,) while jansen had an 85% save rate.

Still no runs allowed for Jansen.

He lead the league in saves the year after the Dodgers let him walk…

His stats do not mean he is pitching well, only getting away with it. Trout's record vs Jansen is now something over 50% K's ( 7 of 12 ABs?) . Even then I'm a little surprised AC didn't move Trout to 1B and have the multiple force outs available.

Can't deny the value of the win with Cleveland coming in early tomorrow , but didn't need another 24 pitch thriller from Kenley . You know that if anyone made a real bid to Breslow for Kenley, he would be gone tomorrow.

I do beleve the Angels did score a run in the 9th. And I was wrong about Slaten. The run he gave up today was his 1st of the season.

Yes a sac fly, where all runners advanced, including 1st to 2nd on a fly to Duran in CF. A little odd, and took away the DP opportunity

I think Merloni was right. You don't want to walk the bases loaded with Kenley having control issues. Plus the fact that Ward leads the Angels in RBI.

Yes, I mentioned he had 5 BBs, before today.

Yes, I got so excited, I forgot he let up a run.
