A 55-55 season looks possible. 60-60 would be a miracle.

  The cheap Pirates and their loser GM, Ben Cherington, screwed Rowdy Tellez by cutting him just four plate appearances short of his incentive bonus kicking in.

Jose Ramirez is currently at 38 2B/38 HR/40 SB. 40/40/40 has only been done once before.

Cleveland survives another day.  
 

the Guardians currently have the longest active World Series championship drought in MLB at 75 years. The only remaining teams that have never won a title did not exist in 1948.

 

But beyond their futility,I like Cleveland more than I do Detroit to beat the Yankees, which is the priority this postseason…

On the East Coast of FL, our bigger issue was all the tornado damage prior to the hurricane landfall. We were planning on sending supplies to the West Coast, but we are going to be using them locally instead. More tornados touched down in FL on Wednesday than in any other 24 hour period in FL's recorded history.

Twins decline Margot's $12M option and pay $2M buyout.

ATL traded for another pitcher: Jorge Soler (owed $26M/2) for Griffin Canning (1 arb year left.)
