Posting this in 4th inning , just to prove the fans don't quit unlike some others .

Sox actually have a 1-0 lead, scoring their 4th run in this 3 game series, thanks to a Wilyer Abreu SOLO HR because no one in front of him could reach base.

Meanwhile Crawford throwing another mini-gem: 4 innings, 1 hit no runs.

Come on Boston, take this series.

Anyone here who is unhappy with Masa's contract should check out what the White Sox paid Beny. Btw, Masa will probably lead the SOX in BA this season. The SOX may have to re-sign Duvall just to have a RH power hitter in the line-up.

With 2 outs and raining in the 5th, Crawford walks a guy hitting .071/.291OPS. Put it on a tee and Lee couldn't get a hit.

Immediately followed by a 2 run, 2 out double to fall behind 2-1. There is no redemption for degenerate sinners

I wonder if Cora would have pulled Crawford in the 5th if this was still a season. In fact I don't really wonder. I suspect there is no doubt Cora would have pulled him.

Hard to blame Crawford for another offensive s*** show by the SOX.

Well the point being that the Sox don't need to win this game, nor the next nor the next after that.

With this game plus 7 more to go, the Sox would need to win at least pull this one out and go 5-2 against the Rays and Orioles ( in the midst of a pennant race) to reach .500 They didn't do it in 2022 , nor will they in 2023. In fact, they likely will not catch the Yankees.

Have no regrets over the Bloom firing , and Cora cannot be blameless . The players ?? What do they have to do with it ?

The best thing they can do with Crawford at this point is build up some stamina.

They might not catch the Yankees, but the Bronx Bomb Targets are perfectly capable of coming back down to meet the Sox…

Defense sucked balls......hitting with RISP sent one to the liquor cabinet too often.....but the players had nothing to do with the Sox fantasizing that they had a competitive rotation. They never got close to a competitive rotation. The BP was so taxed so often that I cannot even offer a comment on them.

Turner should be shut down for the season with the heel injury, he’s hitting .111 in his last 7 and has 1 RBI .

He’s hit .203 in his last 15 games with 4 RBIs

I'm with you. Matching the Yankees this year is not a career defining achievement .

In fact, with today's game a real potential rainout with CWS winning, I'd say the Sox will be challenged to match last year's 78-84 . 2-5 over the last 7 would be about right.

Rafaela didn’t get the memo about striking out with a guy on 3rd. Twice he didn’t get the guy in, but he did put it in play. Unfortunately, the Pale Hose made a couple nice plays on them.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t win any of the last 6 games against the rays and orioles

Congrats on finding yet another way to lose a game. Crappy weather that shows up shortly after you blow your huge 1-0 lead. Crawford does his job so well but a 2 out walk to an .o71 hitter, followed by a double when Cedanne couldn't quite hold the ball on a sliding diving try in LCF.

This team is truly snakebit and cursed. As HC said, "What difference does it make now?"

Lies!! You’re lying.

How could the Sox hitting with RISP have sent you to the liquor cabinet when there was no hitting with RISP?!?!

Locking up last place and a sub .500 record is all that remains. I expect that the entire coaching staff except maybe for Varitek and Cora to be cut loose.

Any new CBO will consider the need for a mental shakeup on a group that is getting too accustomed to losing . Then he/she/it will make changes if for no other reason than to get others attention

Does Varitek really want an ongoing career in MLB or does he need the income ?
