Yeah I just looked at his pitch count. I can’t believe that idiot got out of the game giving up only 3.

The thing is, he’s got good stuff, and for whatever reason, once he got to the set position tonight, his stuff got better.

I have to say, the guy behind the plate has been very good tonight. Perhaps a couple of missed calls, but those were borderline; certainly nothing egregious like yesterday.

Story is such a fraud.

Story Land was closed a lot last year, but when he was open he was pretty good, which I expect he will be at some point this year.

Another wasted opportunity

Definitely. Killer was Casas’ AB, a pop upmlike that on a 2 strike pitch is understandable. It’s not acceptable on a 0-0 pitch.

Shouldn't foul HRs count 50% ?

New rule to help ruin the game: Balls are only foul when they're outside the lines inside the ballpark. All balls that travel over 380 feet and leave the ballpark are fair.

More distracted defense from the Keystone Kops with 2 outs , followed by a hit, followed by the 3rd out, thankfully

All this crap about defense ignores the fact that Paxton stunk tonight. And, except for that astounding 3 run dinger by Duvall, the Sox lineup also stinks tonight. They are 3 for 17 with RISP.

For Paxton defenders, please note that Murray has given up 0 runs in 3 innings despite an error and that Paxton gave up 4 runs (3 earned) in the first 2 innings and 7 overall (6 earned) in 4 innings.

I also think the Houston pitchers have done a good job of hitting corners on their pitches.

You've made it perfectly clear in prior posts that you believe a bad defense is overrated. I disagree, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

However, I wonder what Cora's opinion is regarding bad defense?

I'm not sure I see the value of having Story DH and Turner sit.

Like MOON posted earlier; how's Story going to find his groove if he doesn't play? Note to Story: Wherever you're looking, you're very cold.

Cora has talked about bad defense pretty much all year, and doesn’t like it, so to him I’m pretty sure it’s not overrated.

Paxton did not pitch well, but no pitcher can do very well, when they need to get 4-6 outs per inning, because his defense sucks.

On the defense, I thought it was going to get better with the return of Story, Reyes and Urais doing fine at 2B and Duvall in CF over Duran, but somehow, we still suck so badly, it's beyond words other than SUCK!

No timely hits since the first inning. Maybe Turner gets a chance in the 9th, but this familiar pattern is getting tiresome.
