i know, i was just being sarcastic. it's just that it seems every time somebody mentions how badly he's doing, someone will point out that he led the league in rbis two years ago.

I did pick up on your point and should have acknowledged it. Enjoy your stuff .

Record is 9-9 since A-S break and trending the wrong way today. Pretty much a .500+- team all year . Bloom & Co. gambling again on the upside of the returning guys to pick them up. I hope it happens that way, but August has not recently been kind. Sort of pushes pie in the FO's face.

If it's custard pie, I want to be in the FO.

Turner's bullet to RF keeps the line moving. What can Devers do now to get some runs?

Try a 3 run jack to tie it. Great 2 strike hitting

Nick looking good again- not quite as sharp as last few outings.. but really good. Hope the bats reward good pitching this time and get us a W

After Wong was robbed by a great catch the 'in any other ballpark' came up again. In any other ballpark Teddy Ballgame may have hit 700 HR's. In any other ballpark Willie Mays doesn't make that iconic catch off the bat of Vic Wertz. IOW, please just drop this 'in any other ballpark' crap.

this was my first look at Bernandino and I certainly don't see what all the hype was on him. A 90-91 LH with a decent breaking ball is not really tailor made for Fenway.

Bernandino had a decent run earlier as the starter but has slipped into the bullpen roulette mode last few games . 21 pitches and one out won't get it done. He may be edging close to the demotion or DFA list

I believe there's a couple of short relievers ahead of him in line.

Stengel felt the same way about Whitey Ford. He wouldn't allow Whitey to pitch at Fenway.

LOBsters back in season. From recent observations, pulling Casas to sub Refsnyder vs a LH'er may be a mathematical probability but in real time application, sucks

That was a nasty pitch employed to K REF.

Would it have been a strike if he took it ? Didn't watch it that closely

I think REF pinch batting for Casas was the right call.

It was in the strike zone long enough for Ref to swing, but I believe it would have been a ball. Like I said it was nasty.
