I see Bello is now on the paternity list, hopefully for a just a few days ( his normal interval). Isn't this the 3rd paternity list of the year. One aspect of MLB orientation should be how to time your babies for the late October- February cycle of births.

I often contend that Sox batters come out of the dugout down 2 strikes. Verdugo is there , resuming at 1-2

A runner who gets picked off at 1st with no intent of stealing 2nd is the apex of stupidity.

Look at the expression on his face. Nobody's home.

Let's see a pickoff of your baserunner and another error ( ruled a hit) in the infield. when does the comeback start ? I'll wait

Scorers only want to piss off one guy. An error gets both the hitter and the fielder mad; a hit only gets the pitcher upset.

Radio guys have been calling out scorers all year. They’ve said multiple times that scorers have been told to err (no pun intended) on the side of offensive stats.

Jacques doesn’t look too good.

Looking better once he decided to just K the Mets vs putting the ball in play. Saved the 1 run differential

I guess the phrase "a major league player should have made that play" is no longer relevant.

Yes he did a good job getting out of that. Now let’s get rune!

Who positioned Chang.? The shifted concept, within current rules, cost them a run there. The passed ball was a tough bounce

Defense ain't the problem.

Hitting is--the lucky double by Chang notwithstanding. 2d through 6th in the lineup are hitless: turner, Yoshida, Devers, Duvall, and Verdugo. Plus Casas, who did get a hit, took himself out by getting picked off.

Pitching is also the problem. The Sox have three starters--Paxton, Bello, and now Crawford--who seem to have magically turned in to home run machines.

A Fenway double (barely caught the wall), a wild pitch and a well placed grounder. Baseball smh
