I think it is time to promote Jordan to Portland. He has 300 high A at bats and he ready to move up!

Seems about time, but I trust the Sox know when the time is right.

Look how many people wanted Duran promoted to MLB much earlier or a little earlier. Turns out, maybe we should have waited longer.

Rosier with 4 hits today. I still can not figure out why he does not play everyday

Maybe he was dealing with an injury. We have 4 teams in the minors and he currently ranks T26th in PAs with W Abreu. That's more than Hickey and Lugo.

Gotta like Rosier's .364 OBP and 24 SBs.

I think his swing his always to the ball. Not a lot of power, but he makes contact

He makes contact.

He walks a lot.

He has plus-plus speed.

His defense is okay but may improve to plus.

He's 23, so he's not really beating up older pitchers, but I think there is some home he can make it.

Earlier in the year, Anthony was hitting bullets directly at people! Now some of his hits are dropping!

Not sure how his swing plays the next level up, but he can put the bat on the ball!

A Castro has got a nice swing, but maybe he needs to see an eye doctor! I do not know if he is seeing the ball well!!!!

Wink has some outstanding stuff when he has command and control working. Unfortunately, he is so inconsistent inning to inning and sometimes batter to batter!

Anthony wasn't getting much lift earlier in the year and was driving the ball into the ground. Once he learns to lift the ball, he'll be hitting it all over the field.

Wuilliams Rodriguez pitching line- 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K. The 17-year-old righty has a 1.29 ERA over 14 innings for the DSL Red Sox Red with 11 strikeouts to six walks. He was signed for $50,000 back in January.

@brendan_camp

Red Sox have promoted pitching prospect Yordanny Monegro to Low-A Salem.

@IanCundall

Monegro is someone to keep an eye on in Salem. He dominated the FCL this year: 15 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 20 K. He’s got a projectable frame, live arm and can run his fastball up to 96. Best secondary is his curveball, which he already shows solid feel for.

Looks very promising, despite just a 15 IP sample size.

Enmanuel Valdez is dealing with soreness and swelling in his hand after getting jammed on a pitch in Norfolk over the weekend. He was in the lineup today but looked to be in some pain after his first AB and was removed after the second inning.

2 hits by RHern & Sogard.

POR lost 5-4 as I Coffey got shelled.

GRE got shelled 17-2.

Rogers got drilled.

DSL lost 16-15 as Arias went 4-6.

Not really a big surprise that Coffey struggled. At some point, a guy that throws sidearm 88-90 and is a fly ball pitcher is going to be transitioned out of the rotation. It's just not a starter's profile. Probably not really a guy who has an impact at the MLB level.

Man, you really do your homework on these guys.

His numbers looked really good so it was interesting to see an unheralded guy really pop up this year. I don't pay attention to everyone.

@SPChrisHatfield

The WooSox now have 11 position players, with Enmanuel Valdez and Nick Sogard dinged up as well. They'll need some help there. Might be a good time for the Ceddanne Rafaela move that was probably coming soon anyway. Could see Tyler McDonough going too as short-term depth.

Probably too early for Yorke.

Maybe Lugo?

I don't see them yanking around Yorke at this point. His glove puts him at 2B only and that would limit Valdez' playing time. Lugo is hitting 637 in AA as he hasn't been able to hit the velo at AA. Moving him up to AAA wouldn't help him at all (career low OBP of 253). No chance is Lugo promoted unless they are done with him as a prospect.

McDonough is not hitting much better, but he is older and might gain more by being tested at the AAA level.

Lugo was called up to AA before McD, and both did pretty well in '22.
