Pivettaboutit! Nick reminds me of the worst years of Porcello, except Porcello was a better hitter.

This is looking like a potential repeat of the last two games, back and forth lead changes until someone in the Sox bullpen coughs up the final run.

SOX have many holes to fill; maybe more holes than the Albert Hall.

They will suck next year too, and maybe 2024 as well. But hey-maybe Henry will sell the team by 2025 and they could possibly be watchable again!

For the SOX it's called a CAT PEN, because of all the hairballs they cough up.

Game 1

3 ER in 6 IP Wacha

1 ER in 3+ IP Pen

1-12 RISP

Pen blamed for loss.

Game 2

4 ER in 5 IP Hill

1 ER in 3 IP pen

1-5 RISP

Pen blamed for loss.

This has been going on all year. Sure, the pen did not help us win, but these are team losses, and many times, the pen was not the most responsible- only the most memorable, to many.

I didn't even mention the defense and base-running blunders- all year.

That makes sense statistically. I guess it's just instinctual to blame pitching because it's easy to associate their runs being given up as the difference in the game.

I get why the pen runs are more memorable, but Hill and Wacha let up more and more per IP.

Dalbec stares at strike 3s down the middle like it’s his job

Time to let another organization waste time wondering whether he will ever be able to hit ML pitching.

Let's hope Dalbec will not be on our 40 man next year. He is a AAA wonder only.

This team waved the white flag a long time ago. They’re looking for basically a high draft pick at this point but this season has been embarrassing to say the least.

It’s because the pen failed to hold the lead. That’s what is memorable.

Granted, it gets easier to hold bigger leads, but the Sox really do need to replace about 3-4 bullpen pitchers next season…

I'd keep the BP catcher though.
