A good time for me to check in again. I have not been posting. I am far too caustic for the forum when the Sox are the sort of team they were destined to be from the very start of the season. Even I did not think it would be this ugly.

As for playing in Tampa, a team really has to fight all the negativity they must feel going there to play. No fans, no energy, a tough team with a great bullpen (seemingly always) and the park itself which is an abomination. Our Sox don't have that kind of metal this year.

Not sure I can blame Cora entirely for fielding a team that caves in Tampa. I suspect the entire field and front office just does not really do much to generate much enthusiasm for playing there. But Cora IS uniformed management. He is the pointy end of the management spear.

When the season's over and if Bloom offers JD an all-paid first-class flight to any country in the world, could that be considered a QO?

A coach seat would be an overpay.

Seriously, I just sit the guy down for the rest of the season. He literally contributes nothing and is certainly not going to be here next year. Let Pham, Bogie, Devers rotate through DH.

My only surprise was that he actually hit the ball in the 8th; I figured threee sliders down for a K.

I seriously can't stand Cora.

the motivator is a horrible ion game manager, he needs to fill a line up card with all people who can play on their own, strategy sucks I don't care what anybody thinks, I have seen too many good managers over the years, maybe he should pass out buzzers

Lots of highlights, tonight.

At least we are helping the Rays chances of catching the Yanks.

Rays with a low 70 million dollar payroll and no big priced stars and contenders every year with their injuries

Any criticism of your cult leader Cora tonight?

I didn't see any post game remarks, don't have to, same old after every game WE HAVE TO PLAY BETTER

Bring up E Valdez and let him DH.

Who would you prefer as Red Sox manager? Cash?

I'm 100% certain that after the first 5 games, our next manager will be hearing the same things every past manager has heard, even if we are 5-0!

The only skill a manager has to have as far as I'm concerned is giving a reasonably entertaining daily interview with NESN or whoever it is. I just like the sound of that voice at 6:45 each evening. Francona was the best; Cora close behind. Of course I have no idea what they actually say, and doubt that it has any bearing whatsoever on whether the team wins or loses.
