My last posts were about needing more than five runs to win the game and Bogaerts making a brain dead play for which he was charged an error.

I would enjoy being wrong and recognize that Kike had a nice late run in 2021, but i will find it hard to become much of Kike fan when his offensive numbers mimic Bobby Dalbec's, and he spent two months on the IL. Chronic hip area problem or not?

 

Also , he will take a a chunk of change to resign , so he needs to be more productive and solid in CF, if Bloom is going to spend on him.

I’ll hang in there if I am watching the game-as long as the player’s heads are in the game and it’s not another blowout. I don’t like watching little league caliber plays-like Verdugo botching a ball hit right at him last night, for example.

Thinking similarly. He's still only 31 , so a 2, even 3 year offer at a reasonable price might not be a stretch for a team who may or may not get anything from Sale or Paxton. The 3 kids ( Crawford, Bello, Winckowski) are not really ready to be relied on for 2023. They can contribute if they gain some smarts and durability .

I am glad you are here to keep our heads on straight . Let's just say that 2022 has not been his year, primarily due to a nasty hip area muscle condition. The medical staff really needs to improve on the evaluation of one time injuries vs. chronic conditions that will cost a 60 game IL each year.
