Devers has another time at the plate unless Boone gets an epiphany and decides to IW him.

Peralta will face him; Devers is 0-6 with 2 Ks against him. Boone should like the match up. Doesn’t mean it will work, but it’s at least defensible.

Another 'atem' ball hit by the SOX.

Unfortunately, when a team is scuffling, that seems to happen a lot. Verdugo’s had 2 of them tonight, with the ss in two different places.

When it comes to comparing the SOX to the Yankems, the only positive thing I can post is we have Devers and the Yankems don't. And, yes, I would rather have Devers than Judge.

However, seeing that Judge is going to be a FA at the end of the season, wouldn't it be great in so many ways if JH came up with the money to sign Judge?

Kind of getting revenge on that terrible Babe Ruth deal.

I know. Dream on.

Judge's agent will insist on $300M or more for 10 years, and he is already 30. Diminishing returns after 35, and there is always the risk of injury.

Isn't that pretty much what Bogey is seeking? And they're both about the same age.

Since the ASG last year:

JD has 18 homers and 71 RBIs

Bogey has 15 and 62.

Those are not numbers that are going to get you large contracts.

Not according to their agent Scott BorASS!

3-7 in their last ten.

No Nate, no Sale, no Whitlock, no Wacha.....and so forth. Now Hill. Barnes (no great loss there). Its a recipe for failure, especially with the aforementioned regression of Bogaerts and Martinez.

Hard to argue with that.

They let up 21 runs in the last 3 games. That certainly isn't gonna get it done.

This team needs a solid first basemen. So many blunders this year from that position.

Kyle Schwarber sucks defensively but I'm sure he would be no worse than Franchy or Dalbec when it comes to defense there. And plus his offense would make up from his weak D.

Hey, Moon, with both Bogey and JD leaving do you see any chance the SOX could seriously go after Judge?

I’d rather they sign him than both Bogey and JD combined, but I’m not sure hi fits into Bloom’s priorities.

Sorry for the non answer, but I have no idea. If I had to guess, I’d say no.
