To me, it's his failure to hit or get on base as a leadoff guy. Little to do with CF play. Bat him 7-8-9

I guess the Angels' marketing plan is to spend most of their money on Trout and Ohtani, figuring that those two will bring in enough paying customers to keep the team in the black. Winning a WS doesn't appear to be part of their thinking.

Good for fWAR, but the good old eye test tells you enough.

But, it doesn't tell you enough with Verdugo or JBJ?

Of course, he's sucked at bat, this year- just about from day 1 to now. My point is, so has everyone else, but you seem to single him out, and he's twice the defender as Verdugo and Duran.

Time to score! Don’t want extra innings.

Exactly, especially on the road and with our record with ghost runners.

Am I the only one on here tonight? No, and he’ll no. At least Dugy, and JBJ, and Franchy have picked it up, and I don’t need all your analytics to tell me that. Eye test.

Um, Kike has "picked it up, too.

No, you're not the only one here, tonight, but you've been bashing Kike more than anyone I know, and for longer, too.

Eye Test- as in get your eyes checked

Looks like they all have been heating up, and the two best fielders are 1-2, yet you want Kike platooned not Verdugo, and despite all but Kike being LH'd hitters.

No doubt, Kike should not be leading off, at least until he can go a month of so hitting well.

Here's what I've come up with after conferring with my Magic 8 Ball. Because there probably won't be any help coming any time soon from the farm, I would live or die with Dalbec as full-time 1st base. I would put Franchie as the everyday RF and I would platoon Kike and JBJ in CF. I would also keep Arroyo on the bench as much as possible.

Why would you want your top RBI man leading off? Who is going to drive in the runs that Story has even if they were getting the same opportunities with men on base.

I don’t know if Franchy can hit LHP full time, but I don’t want Arroyo in RF at anytime. Outside of that sounds good.

Sox have averaged about 7 runs a game over the past month or so while winning at least 2/3 of their games. Why mess with what’s working right now?

If they revert to April offense, have at it.

Cordero for Bogey? Didn't help

At least Cordero hit the ball (and the Angels’ OF had to make a pretty good play); there’s always a chance if you put it in play. There’s none on swings and misses.
