Cant help but believe that Devers' past history of less than stellar defense will probably affect his dWAR from now into the future. He's been playing excellent defense since the season started.

I see Tampa has already locked up Franco for 11 years at 178.5 million dollars.

No doubt Franco is worth every penny of that contract; hell, it's probably a bargain at today's prices. That being said, I hope it's 11 years w/o a WS ring. The thing is, he could've gone at least 5... Whitlock has thrown 4 in relief before... why not 5 as a starter? In other words, if they won't use him for more than 4 at the start, why not just save him for 4 at the end for high leverage?
