Red Sox fans hope the distance is in the right direction (and tend to underestimate opponents such as the Twins with their Opening Day starter Joe Ryan).

This team is an inconsistent mess. They better start playing better.

So far, the team is just dull. There isn’t a single starting pitcher who generates any excitement to be worth the price of admission. The only pitcher who generates any interest is Whitlock. On the offense, the only hitter who keeps me in my seat is Devers. The lineup needs more thump. If Bogaert’s wrist is dinged up, this lineup will have trouble producing runs consistently.
