Stupidity again. We know Boone is an idiot. Yanks pitching has covered up lots of flaws, but so has the schedule. He needs to establish an order out there as we continue to play contenders over the next month

The thing with baseball is : It's a long grind. Injuries happen . And they will upset even the best laid plans.

Thing is, Yanks have been in every single game they’ve played. Look at all their losses. I think their worst loss was 5-0, but it was 0-0 in the 8th. That’s why Boone is gonna catch heat when we lose because every game has a path to a victory.

 

What I’d like to see if the Yanks stop using low leverage relievers in high leverage spots. We need to use Castro, Holmes, Peralta in high leverage spots right now. King needs a breather, but he’ll be in that conversation as well. Once Aroldis is better and Loaisiga gets his location down, we will have a death group again at the back end.

In the bottom of the first inning against Ohtani, cadaver Matt Carpenter led off with an 11 pitch AB ending in a HR and later in the inning Torres took him deep. Carpenter has 3 HRs in a about a week. How many HRs do Red Sox 1B men have in a quarter of the season?

Carp said he remade his swing. Went to the minors only because the home park was in his town of residence. He went to the minors, crushed, but didn’t have a path to PT. Cashman was scouting him from day 1 this year and that scouting has paid off

Yanks sweep the double header and the series against the halos with some dominant starting pitching. Clubbed ohtani in the first game today and picked him off 1st after his only hit. Clutch pinch hit by Rizzo in the 2nd game saved the day after Jamo was perfect through 7 but the bats were dead. Edited June 3, 2022 by JDavis76

IMO, credit has to go to Cashman for getting rid of Sanchez. There's no telling what effect that has had on the pitching staff, but I'm a strong believer that the guy behind the plate makes a huge difference.
