Kavadas ended the night zero for two with two walks!

Greenberg ended the night going 6 for 3.

They are on base machines.

I meant Greenberg went 3 for 6.

He's got speed and plus defense, too.

How about SLG%?

Ward pitched another 3 scoreless innings at Greenville. Wonder when they will call him up to Portland. Has 19k, 11 IP, 0 ER during his rehab in Greenville.

After watching the Sox here in Salem most of this year someone really needs to get Blaze on a nutrition and workout schedule. Kid is very soft and you can tell he doesn’t care to become a physical specimen… which he has the size and frame to be. Marcelo is smooth at SS… loves to go the other way!

People said this about Raffy forever. He figured it out.

I would think that the Red Sox organization would have people who work with the prospects on nutrition.

I'm not sure building bulky muscles is the solution for improving most players.

If it was, we'd see it happening, everywhere.

@redsoxstats

Some of the stuff being said about Miguel Bleis is so audacious, and whispers about his trackman data being so good, that I don't think I've ever been more excited for in-depth post-season reports on a prospect from @soxprospects and the national outlets.

Bleis top 3 prospect when?

Bleis and James have been very impressive.

My guess, next summer.

1. Mayer

2. Bello

3. Bleis

4. Rafaela

5. Mata

6. Casas

7. Walter

8. Murphy

9. Jordan

10. Yorke

Just a hunch.

Bleis is going to need some monster stats to pass Rafeala.

He's 3 years younger, so he doesn't really need to do better than Rafaela, now, to be viewed as having more upside and being ranked above.

I will say, I'm very high on Rafaela and had a hard time putting Bleis ahead of him.

Ask me tomorrow, and I may predict Bleis 5th.

True, best to rerank the prospects at the end of the year.

My projection was for next summer. It's hard enough to rank prospects, now.

I think people like Rafaela. Scouts just see a much higher ceiling in Bleis. If he gets promoted to Salem soonish and hits well through the end of the year, I think the national rankings will start to take more notice. There's a lot of groundswell for Bleis being a top prospect, whereas Rafaela is just outhitting his projections right now. Time will tell if Rafaela can keep it up.

A lot can change between now and September for our prospects,

Of course, and trying to project next year's rankings is pretty much folly.

Kavadas is going to be in Portland by the end of the year. Does he start knocking on the door of the top 10? Dude just mashes.

Either Romero or Anthony will crack the list ... usually you expect a team's first rounder to crack the org top 10. And one of Lugo or Groome could crack the back end of the Top 10. Solid results at premium positions.

I have several ahead if Groome. I think he may be traded.
