Don't look, now, but with the 2 hits by Downs, he's now at a whopping .761!

 

Potts had 3 hits for POR, while Van Belle went 6 IP w 1 ER (0BB-6Ks)

 

GRE lost, but Drohan did okay: 5IP 5H 2ER 1BB 8K. Hickey w 2 Hits and 4 rbi.

 

Mayer went 1 for 3 w 2 BB & a SB (11th) in a Salem loss.

Downs's BA is terrible, but he has power and takes a lot of walks.

His .332 OBP is not bad, and he has 16 SBs (4 CS).

I want to give props to recently promoted Jake Thompson. He is having a whale of a year in the bullpen.

Ps: he is also right handed. Brazier should be hearing footsteps. Brazier can not join Robles fast enough.

I have about 3-5 guys ahead of Brasier on my demotion/DFA list.
