Gibson would have drilled their best hitter if he were Kike's teammate.

And if Bob did hit you with the pitch, it would be stupid to rush the mound, because then he would hit you with his fist.

Gibson only had to glare at you, and you wouldn’t think about going to the mound.

It's wise to win this game; everything else is minor.

Why not bring in E Rod with your logic? It's wise to win this game, everything else is minor.

The fact that Whitlock is pitching two innings with a 6 run lead is an indictment on this BP. Just hope he’s available for at least 1 inning on Monday if the game is tight.

Not sure I'm a fan of seeing Whitlock for 2 innings tonight. This is going to be a long series and you don't want the Houston hitters having free looks at Whitlock.

He often goes two, and Cora may just think it's a good idea that he faces most of the tough Houston hitters tonight, in preparation for later games.

Gibby once threw at a player in the on deck circle. Except he wasn't in the on deck circle. He was trying to get a better view of what Gibson was throwing, so Gibson just threw the ball at him.

He also hit more World Series home runs than Willie Mays.

That sure sounds like Gibson.

A pitcher at Wichita State did that in a college game and about killed a player and ended his career. Dick move.

After Dick Allen's divorce, when his wife "got everything", he bitterly noted: "She never had to face Bob Gibson."

Allen was a piece of work. He would write derogatory messages at 3rd base with his spikes directed at the fans and the owner. He was also strong as an ox and employed a 40oz bat at the plate.
