It's what we did in the 20th century with grossly disappointing outcomes. In the 21st century the 2004 the infamous 3-0 to 4-3 series turned the tide on 7 game heart stoppers. Haven't had to endure that pain again, but maybe we need one in Houston to make sure we are alive. Win tonight and roll on to game 7

Well, that was a disappointing loss, to state the obvious. I'm heartbroken. The offense disappeared at a very inopportune time. :(

That said, the Red Sox have nothing to be ashamed of or regretful of. If we were told on Day 1 of the season that the Sox would be playing in the ALCS, I think any of us would have taken that ticket. They kept us entertained (and often frustrated) throughout the summer and into October. Some players have already mentioned how hungry they will be next season.

The great news is that the Sox are in good shape for the upcoming years.

The ALCS was just weird. The Sox looked invincible after 3 games and completely vincible in the next 3. The Astros pitching was amazing in those final 3 games. I griped about the Sox hitting, but only great pitching can emasculate a terrific lineup that quickly and for that long. I will probably root for the Astros in the WS.

Also, I want that guy Alvarez investigated. Forget the righties. He destroyed our lefties. He likes fastballs, but he likes breaking balls even more. Down and away? No problemo. Also, check that birth certificate because no way he is 24. Same goes for that Wander guy with the Rays. He is not, repeat not, 20.

The Astros did a good job of making adjustments after the first 3 games. They probably also had a little added incentive after the ERod incident. I'm not saying that's the reason why the Sox lost, but never give the opponent any added fire.

Well it was a great ride and I'm damned proud of our team. They gave us a lot of thrills and knocked out the Yankees, then the best team in the league. I have no complaints and I'll probably go back to lurking here now and then until next year.

Peace.

Nice post. :)

Thanks Kimmi. I'm sorry I didn't see as much of you this time around as I did when I posted here in 2018, always liked your comments. And thanks to Moon who was the only poster here who seemed interested in what I had to say. :)

See you next time.

Sorry I haven't been posting as much. For some reason that I haven't quite figured out, I haven't had as much time to play on the internet. You should stick around during the offseason.
