Tedballgame Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 A strike out is better than a DP. Not sure why he let the second pitch go. It was right down the middle.
d-money Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Two runs; should have been more, but it's infinitely more than they scored last night. They might have to score more. Had a chance for a big inning to start.
Tedballgame Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Sale needs a shut down inning.
YastrzemskI Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 The DP kills the Sox again. Geeeeez! Should be 3-0 SoX at least. GIDP balls are killing us.
d-money Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Sale needs a shut down inning. Sale needs to come through period or he’s just another david price.
d-money Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Not a good start for Sale. It’s getting ridiculous with this guy. He needs to step up.
YastrzemskI Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Good Lord this kid... ughhhh. The nightmare continues.
illinoisredsox Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Arozarena needs to be knocked off the plate; he is way too comfortable up there.
RedSoxNC84 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Looks like Sale is trying to do his best Shane Baz impression.
TylerD Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Ummmm Sale. Not funny. Come on.
Maxbialystock Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Love the two runs--badly needed against the Rays and with Sale on the mound. Horrible, horrible at bat by Devers. And Renfroe's wasn't much better. First pitch single off Sale's well placed fastball. Could be a painful night because Sale stunk his last time and has not been good in the postseason. Oh, goody. A hanging slider, first pitch single for Franco. Two pitches by Sale and two men on base for the Rays.
d-money Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 This guy’s afraid of the big moment he doesn’t pitch well to it.
d-money Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 He needs a double play in the worse way.
Maxbialystock Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Nice K on 5 straight sliders.
RedSoxNC84 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Good K, now get two more outs.
Tedballgame Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Cruz hitting .343 vs Sale. Oh no!
YastrzemskI Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Well the good news is that Sale hasn’t thrown many pitches so far.
Maxbialystock Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 No changeups yet by Sale. If he stays with fastballs and sliders, this could be painful.
RedSoxNC84 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Not looking too good so far.
d-money Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Is this guy looking at 5 innings at best? Throw strikes!!!
Maxbialystock Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 As I said before, Sale has never pitched well in the postseason.
