Those who believe Bogie has a sore wrist are wrong. I believe he has two sore wrists.

Bogey is currently a shadow of his former self

Could be the ball game because I think the Sox have no intention of scoring any runs tonight--or today for that matter.

A thoroughly demoralized team.

Admittedly did not see the first few innings, but you guys make it sound like Houck got slammed. Looks like 1 run and 3 hits with 6 K's in 3 2/3rds. What would Perez and Richards give fr that line. ? I understand he has no evidence of going 5 or 6 innings but Pivetta saved the BP in game 1..

Now just sit back and enjoy the 12 th straight scoreless RS at bats.

Houck was fine. Yes, he threw a lot of pitches, but 3.2 innings are about right for a 7 inning game. Plus Taylor gave up the single that brought that 1 run home.

Houck usually throws a lot of pitches. He has good stuff, but not very good command.

Hell, Vegas, I'm ready to proclaim, even with the small sample size, that he's the SOX best starter.

I think he's a #2, right behind Pivetta, and that new guy Schwarber. When does he pitch?

Damn, if Cora tells Schwarber he'll have to pitch, Schwarber will never get off the exercise bike.

Oh, I see. Schwarber is actually the new conditioning coach . In seriousness, I will not be in the least surprised if with 5 days of actually playing 1B , Schwarber will be back on IL with torn hammy needing surgery.

Coming into the 13th inning today, with a combined 5 hits . That is, the problem now exceeding the pitching issues. Both these games were eminently winnable .

Verdugo comes thru!!!!!

Can anyone else?

Bogie's answer to the above question: not me. But I can K in 3 pitches.

Bogie needs a bunch of days off to try and heal that wrist. Right now he is hurting both the team and himself. IL him if he can’t help himself.

Rafi needs to stop trying to hit 900 foot homers.

I expect the Jay's to sweep the sox in this series then its 3 games with the Ray's.

In a matter of days the sox will likely be in 4th place in the division and the season will be in complete freefall.

Then put Bogey on the injured list and start planning for next season.

Glad to see Verdugo get past the warning track power and clear the wall. Makes it an interesting challenge to see if there is one more run 9in this lineup

As for Bogie's sore wrist; I haven't seen him shaking his hand after a hard swing. Only Bogie knows if he truly has a sore wrist.

When Bogey tweaked his wrist a couple of weeks ago Cora said that's what had happening.

Since then Bogey has been rested a bit, and hasn't pulled a ball hard to left field.

I think it's clear Bogey still has a wrist problem.

Exactly. He seldom hit the ball to right field before the All-Star Break. Everything was hit to left and usually hit hard. Now that swing isn’t there; he’s not able to get that bat around as quick.

It doesn’t take much to throw a hitter off.

I thought someone just said the only problem with the RS was pitching, defense, and hitting.
