Had to expect that Richards is going to give up runs. Going to be tough to come back. Can't squander a bases loaded no outs situation and win.

They have time but they have looked foolish against ray.

That's the difference between Richards and Ray. Fastball right down the middle gets absolutely pounded if it's Richards'. No more than a lazy fly or a foul if it's Ray's.

Fair is fair. Vazquez definitely gets some credit for that dinger because he called for the fast ball.

Oh boy is that game?

The Sox still have 4 innings and 12 outs, but Ray is tough and the Jays bullpen probably won't have to do more than 1 or 2 innings.

He may have called for the fastball, but his target was about a foot towards the left handed batters box.

Watching Dalbec and Chavis go up against Ray is painful--except when Bobby got that BB. Ray now has 4 K's and those two have half of them.

3d time thru the order coming up with Kike leading off the 5th inning.

Meanwhile Sox pitching needs to keep it at 3-1.

You love to fault VAZ, but Richards sux no matter if Varitek was catching him.

Ray at least threw competitive pitches to Dalbec; that last slider was nasty.

He just kept throwing the ball lower and lower to Chavis, who obliged by swinging at at least 2 balls.

Richards curve a little up and Thunder's hero just broke the dadgum baseball.

So Richards can't seem to move off the spot designated for those who are likely leaving the rotation (or the Sox).

Short 7 inning games is advantage to the Blue Jay's as their bullpen sucks ass but we won't get to see it much with these little league rules. When it got called yesterday I was not happy. Getting a split today would be a huge win

Ray's a good pitcher. The SOX, unfortunately, don't get to bat against Richards, Pivetta and Perez.

They did hit him last time around. Better grab game 2 if they don’t come back from this.
