No doubt the first half was the ultimate tease. If these guys can be in first place, actually lead MLB in wins at times, then Cora is a magician with half the lineup being AAAA'ers not contributing.

Check back after the road trip, especially Rays games. If the Sox are to reawaken and make it sustainable, then we will se it soon. Or get buried. Letting the Yaankees stay alive is the worst part though. Had them by the chicken neck.

Today is why games like yesterday are so important not to lose. I'm honestly more cheesed off at yesterday's than today.

I also don't understand the shuffle by Cora in the lineup JD was getting hot and you move him down to 5th?

I know the batting order wouldn't of changed anything today but try to fix was isn't broken. The offense has rarely been an issue for this team all year long and now Cora decides to play with the lineup now

Be careful; you're approaching blasphemy.

Naw they’re a good team that’s just a little inconsistent at the moment. They had a chance to bury the Yankees but couldn’t do it.

Are we just too far away though .I watched Sale today and frankly he looked pretty awful .Duran looks overwhelmed and Franchy and Bobby are frankly terribly flawed .The Redsox need a reliever a 1b and a starter .Do we make a call to Miami and send Duran for both those top pitching Prospects now ? I just think Bloom blew it this year and waited far too long .Reverse lock post

I would like to see this team with one more good bat and one more good arm to make a run.

The Rays are not going away for one thing.

What I find perplexing is seeing Cordero at 1b today. If he can play 1b, why wasn't he playing 1b yesterday? Instead, the Red Sox decided to play Chavis at 1b, a guy who can't hit and will soon be in the Korean League. Was playing Chavis yesterday so important that the Red Sox decided to take their chances with clumsy Cordero in RF?

The Red Sox are aware of the claim that RF in Fenway Park is spacious and difficult to defend, right? I'm assuming the Red Sox are aware of that or have vaguely heard of that "rumor" once or twice.

Cora will tell you that it was about pitching match up.....that's what he always says

I think you have a valid point, but isn't this overkill?
