Hernández is warming up. I thought Taylor or Ottavino were going to pitch next.

Not sure why Cora loves to send Hernandez in high leverage situations.

Good to see Whitlock is still there and Taylor is warming up now. Good!

It's not just the dinger. All the A's are hitting Whitlock harder than they did ERod.

Whoops! Very nice K by Whitlock--and 3 total in 2 innings.

The new rule that a reliever has to face a minimum of 3 batters really sucks. The game is becoming a joke.

I actually like this rule. Nothing more annoying then switching the pitcher on 3 consecutive batters. Not to mention it really makes managing the game more interesting and less about analytics

Unlike Eduardo who did a terrific job, Whitlock doesn’t mess around. He throws a lot of strikes. Sometimes, not very often btw, some batters hit him.

Btw Whata 1-2-3 lol

He made it look so easy man wow!

If a reliever comes into the game and gets the last out of, let's say, the 7th inning. Does he have to come back and face two batters in the 8th inning? I don't think so, but I'm not sure.

He does not have to no. It's a fresh start when you start the inning

Nope. It’s 3 batters or finish the inning regardless the outs and batters.

Tie game. Barnes with one too many fastballs. Bullpen with two too many dingers.

Does the guy throw anything else than a fastball?
