Go sawx! Hopefully we get good pitching from the start.

Our starters are in a funk, some for just a start or two, but still...

BA Against the last 7 days:

.500 Perez (16 PA) + 3 BB

.442 Richards (52) + 4 BB

.407 Eovaldi (30) + 3 BB

.350 Pivetta (23) + 3 BB

.275 ERod (44) + 4 BB and 2 HRs

OPS Against

1.625 Perez

1.207 Eovaldi

.985 Pivetta

.921 Richards

.816 ERod

Go back 2 weeks:

.898 Richards

.869 ERod

.853 Perez

.844 Eovaldi

.744 Pivetta

We need the "Big Nick" to stop the flow of hits our starters have been giving up fora week or so.

Last night was fun! I was busy adulting and didn't get home from work until 9, at which point I saw it was 5-1 and didn't bother turning on the radio. Let's do it again today! Won't make that mistake again

As much as come from behind wins are exciting, the SOX should add some variety like starting with the lead and keeping it. That being said, I have no problem with coming from behind wins. In fact, I'm happy with any kind of win, whether it's pitching duels or slugfests. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

We have been ahead after 1 inning 17 times (13-4 record).

We have been tied after 1 inning 30times (17-13).

We have been behind after 1 inning 17 times (9-8).

After 2 innings:

ahead 29(22-7)

tied 14 (9-5)

behind 21 (8-13)

After 3:

ahead 26 (22-4)

tied 15 (10-5)

behind 21 (8-13)

After 4

ahead 27 (25-2)

tied 13 (7-6)

behind 24 (7-17)

For a 35-25 team, you'd expect us to be ahead early more than behind, but 23 come from behind wins out of 35 is amazing.

The Blue Jays have some very good, young hitters. But they will have a tough time staying in the race. Whether through youthful ignorance, poor coaching or whatever , they play very poor fundamental baseball. Give them a chance and they will often beat themselves.

It seems like devers hitting is negatively impacted by the absence of bogey!

Today the bottom third of the lineup needs to keep contributing.

Our starting pitching is just not good right now. It stinks!!!!

Vlad is red hot too. Not much you can do when a player is that good

Recently it seems as though every game begins with our starter unable to get outs without runs and the other team's starter looking like--today, anyway--Sandy Koufax. Matz is a far, far cry from Koufax, but to the Sox he's not.

Another thing. Opposing pitchers routinely throw that high fastball with a 2 strike count, and our guys swing and miss. Our pitchers don't do that very often.
