Looks like we are leaving one roster spot open for Taylor, who did NOT test positive for COVID.

Houck will start one game.

Wong was also demoted.

Wong is defense only guy and is being sent down even when we are relatively weak at catcher. It doesn't look like we have any other prospects that are likely to make the club at catcher either this year or next.

He can’t keep it up. No one can.

But if he can OPS .800 the rest of the way, he’ll be fine…

Well, I don't think he can keep that 800 pace up.

I do. Especially since he might be primarily facing LHP…

If they are going to limit him to ONLY facing LHP, I agree.

LHP + Baltimore RHP.

Two more series against that dumpster fire.

The one thing that the Sox have in their back pocket is their final 6 games of the year:

Ronald Hernandez might, but his stock seems to be slipping since the trade.

Hit the ball real hard for 3 outs, last night. That's more than most others can say.

And his strikeout to walk ratio is livable for the month of August.

As we all know, the K rate has to improve, but when he makes contact, he hits the ball hard.

Dalbec is 26th out of all hitters in barreled balls with 9.5%. On the team, he's third to only Devers and now Schwarber. Schwarber is 6th in baseball and first on the team at 11.4%.

If he got to a 30% k rate, his numbers would be much better. It's also not a lofty goal. That bb rate needs to go up too.

Yes, the BB/K ratio needs to improve.

Speaking of Devers, his 1 for 10 in the Bronx is a something this team cannot afford right now.

His August numbers have not been ideal.

Did anyone hit well in the Bronx?

Dalbec hitting in the 9 hole is not the problem.

Torture...

Exactly. But you need to dish some out. Remember it’s “Both. Si-moo-tay-knee-us-Lee”…

Dalbec finished the season up strong. No word from OP though.

AUG 1205 OPS

SEPT/OCT 928 OPS

When they needed him the most, he produced.
