Will Taylor end up being our only Sox pitcher not to let up a run, today?

(DHern let up an unearned run.)

Taylor did let those 2 inherited runs score, so that hardly counts IMO

Well, I actually have been asking for the last few games WHY Franchy is in there. I guess today is the answer?

Is Kike out for a while?

Not sure, but I read somewhere that if there's any strain on the hamstring, it's probably an IL trip. We've been lucky with injuries so far though

He's good for a huge game every 6 weeks, and nothing in between

Just think, if we had sent Cordero down, last night, we could have seen Duran go 0-5, and the Sox lose 9-8.

Don't forget to watch the low lights of this game on Quick Pitch later tonight.

Too many to show

Does this mean I have to start the next game thread?

I'm not sure Texas mojo is a good thing.

We won and the Yankees lost. Good enough mojo for me.

It's the Orioles, without their ace. Not the worst team to test mojo against

Even the ugliest girls get prom dates. Even the ugliest wins make up ground in the standings

Messy, but still a very needed win. Ottavino's slider/curve looks pretty good to me.

On to Baltimore, but a warning. In 1814 the British navy and army romped and stomped in Alexandria and DC and burnt the Capitol and the White House, but the Baltimore militia stopped them cold, plus a local yokel wrote some pretty good lyrics.

WEEI announcers talked a lot about Willie Mays today, and I have to admit I agree with what I think Willie said when he was inducted into the HOF: "I have to be honest and say I never saw anyone play the game better." He was beyond a five tool player and did it all with joy and enthusiasm. Mike Trout is doing a lot of the same things except the baserunning.

No such thing as ugly wins; only ugly losses.

That's debatable. But I think we can all agree that "ugly" wins are better than not winning at all

Our 2-5 hitters need some help; if Cordero wants to provide it, I'm all for it.
