IMO Not at all. The advantage is for the away team all the way if they score first which is very likely.

I just couldn’t take the long innings. I’m still happy for this change.

You apparently never took a logic course. You claim the away team is "very likely" to score from 2d, but not the home team even though both teams face the exact same situation.

Exactly; the only advantage the away team would have is that in theory, they can use their closer to finish things up if they score. But that’s no different than the old rules.

As am I. These complaints are entirely because the Sox are losing to the Tigers after tying it up in the 8th.

Who knew that New England is actually whine country?

Psychologically is a different situation when you take the lead first. When you are down, IMO the pressure is way more higher when you are AB, and if the lead is for more than 2 runs it increases exponentially.

My theory of “if we score 5 we win” seems to be failing lately. It did against Texas twice and now tonight. Pitching needs to be better. End of story.

Now that was snake bit. Fast ball in the heart of the plate, and no swing by Renfroe.

Scoring 5 before the 10th is the key.

My "snake bitten" comment was about the hard hit outs we made.

Pitching gave up 3 runs in regulation. Overall, it was fine. Whitlock didn’t have it tonight. Whether it was the moment or it was just a bad night remains to be seen.

The last few losses hurt, but I'm still thrilled with our season, to date.

I'd rather lose close than by blow outs.

Renfroe was on 1st base; that was Kike.

Yankees creeping up on this team. Gotta play better. Right now i see a lot of inconsistency from this team. Really wanted them to sweep this awful team.

I like this team. We need to jettison the chaff. But we are one hitter away from a standout season.....so far. And shy a starter or two from really being good.

WTF Dalbec though. I had high hopes.
