I do think Cora has been outmanaged tonight. He was late pulling Perez, and his former boss seems to be making all the right moves.

If Cora had an ounce of sense, he'd send Ottavino out to pitch the 8th and have him throw a lot of breaking stuff.

Koji probably closed a game faster than any closer in history.

He was fearless with the 85 mph fastball.

If he just kept going with his two seam fast ball, he would have been much better. Tried too much fancy crap and it made him worse. Regardless. Not sure I would take him back over Richards or Pivetta anyway. I have been pretty happy with both.

I'll be honest and say I thought Porcello had a complete repertoire of pitches. The problem was that none of them was especially good, nor was his command. He never, ever mastered the art of pitching low in the zone.

Not saying the Tigers are bad, but Cordero. with his stats, might be batting 5th for them.

Cordero & Perez for Boyd?

Did Plawecki really pinch hit for Arroyo? And is Vazquez at 2B?

Head scratcher.

Arroyo has career splits that are about the same vs LHPs and RHPs.

Time for a Dalbec dinger.

Dalbec is an embarrassment. His forte is hitting lefties and he's struck out twice tonight against lefties. And he is tied for the MLB lead in errors by a firstbaseman.
