How the mighty have fallen. Arenado had a shoulder injury that limited his capability for 2020, but on the whole, he’s one of the best players in baseball. His contract wasn’t even tops for 3b’s in the game. And the Rockies paid to send him away and got quantity over quality of prospects. Not a single blue chipper even though the Rocks are chipping in $51 mil.

Coors Field - yikes. They need to move the fences out or something.

Is the humidor not working?

If they remade CF as the old Polo Grounds, it'd be cool. However, pushing the fences back will just force the OFers to cover more ground. It may decrease HR's, but could substantially increase 2B's and 3B's.

.985 home

.793 away

Those .200 point OPS splits are why I do not mind the Sox staying away from the heavily paid Rockie sluggers like Arendao and Blackmon, whose .987/.747 splits are slightly worse and who does not bring gold Glove caliber defense along with him...

Inside the park HRs too. Wouldn't be surprised if Coors is already the leader in that category, or up near the top. Somebody look it up for me.

999 Home

And the Coors factor is a commonly cited reason why he has not been able to walk into Cooperstown. Although it did not hamper Larry Walker all that much...

Since 2001, Kauffman Stadium with 17.

Both Miller Park and Chase Field have had 13.

Miller Park and Chase Field are both more known as home run friendly parks for balls leaving the yard....

Chase Field makes sense. Deep CF with a bunch of funky angles out there.

Lorenzo Cain has spent his entire career playing at either Kauffman or Miller. Must be a lot of being at the wrong place at the wrong time

Walker was a better all around player and was solid before going to the Rockies.

However, he had a 141 OPS+ at Coors Field. At the 10 other parks he played 50+ games at, only 1 had a 100+ OPS+.
