I don't know what was worst in the move. Pulling snell as he was dominating or bringing Anderson in the game whos been complete garbage lately.

Overmanaging.

Snell looked really tired to me. He could barely make it back to the dugout. Plus it's obvious now he threw way too many fastballs. Somewhere Grady Little is smiling.

Tired my foot. You go out with your best. Give him another batter. If he gives up a single you take him out. Lol grady little.

Gotcha. Grady little was an idiot for leaving Pedro in, and Kevin Cash was an idiot for pulling Snell--who pitched better tonight against the Dodgers than any Rays pitcher has. Also: Snell had only thrown 73 pitches; the Rays bullpen has not been all that reliable; and Snell had already struck Mookie out twice.

Kevin Cash lacks fingerspitzengefuhl and seems to think that players don't win ball games; managers do. He was probably outraged that Snell was going to win game 6 for the Rays when that honor belonged to the manager.

The hope for the Rays is to hold it here and get Jansen into the game.

I'd be shocked if Jansen comes into this game. If so Roberts will try to outdo Cash for the stupidest move in this game

The real question is will Roberts overmanage and bring in Jansen. Urias has been lights out and is a starter, so he is physically and mentally capable of going one more.

2020 can’t get any worse.🤦*♂️ Two Los Angeles teams winning championships. I can’t wait to see the destruction in L.A . One of the worse years i could ever remember. Also with the passing of some historical baseball players and other stuff.

We can complain about the Snell move all we want, but the Rays have scored 1 run, which is almost never enough.

Edit - Naturally Smoltz makes this point as I’m typing this.

Kevin Cash seems to think players don't win ball games; managers do. Plus he loves nothing more that to march out, get rid of the guy on the mound, and bring in a "fresh arm." What a crock. Kevin Cash lacks fingerspitzengefuhl.

And the notion that the Rays lineup are the real culprits is just baloney. Bringing in Anderson was monumentally dumb because he promptly gave Mookie (the same guy Snell struck out twice) a double and then threw a wild pitch, which brought home the tying run and put the go ahead run on 3B win just one out. Rotten pitching, dumb manager, simple as that.

Not defending the move, I think it was stupid. But the Dodgers relievers have completely shut them down, and LA has too much firepower to hold down forever.

1. Didn't want them to win, but the Dodgers are worthy champs.

2. Much better than Yankees winning.

3. We'll get our noses rubbed in it some more about Mookie, especially by the bozo writers, but that's the life of a sports fan.

Cash is being excoriated for taking Snell out when he did.

He didn't want Snell to face any Dodger hitters for a third time.

But the top 4 in the Dodgers lineup were 0-8 with 7 K's.

Wow. Dave Roberts, of course, also raised a lot of eyebrows when he pulled Kershaw after retiring the first 2 batters of the inning, on 2 pitches.

These moves were pre-planned.

Is this analytics gone mad?

Also, the guy Cash brought in to replace Snell, Nick Anderson, had given up runs in his last 6 appearances.

Make that 7.

Another wow.
