2 mins agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Yairo Munoz left Thursday’s game versus Miami early due to lower back spasms. Prior to his departure, Munoz went 0-for-2 at the dish, ceding way in left field to Tzu-Wei Lin. Having seen consistent playing time since making his season debut on Sept. 1, Munoz has compiled a .333 average through his first 12 games. Despite not having drawn a walk this year, Munoz has flashed potential with six extra-base hits and two stolen bases.

How are the Marlins a playoff team?

This is what happens in a short season. It's LOL random.

MIA is below average in OPS, ERA, FIP, SO/BB, WHIP.

Devers' Aug. 29 slash line: .220/.264/.398, a .662 OPS and four homers.

Today: .293/.345/.550, an .894 OPS and a team-leading 11 homers.

Special hitter.

Verdugo is the best 2020 Red Sox.

@PeteAbe

Alex Verdugo now .328/.383/.514 and +7 DRS (6th among all OFs).

Was Mookie for Verdugo straight up a good deal?

He is certainly a source of vindication for Bloom.

Remy says the Sox should shut down Eovaldi after today now that he's proven he's back healthy.

I don't get this sentiment.

Woo-WOO! Who has two thumbs and gets to make 3 more games worth of GTs? THIS GUY

Woot!

I'm glad you like making game threads. LOL

I get it. We were talking about this earlier. On the one hand it would be nice to protect him from getting hurt in meaningless games. On the other, if teams start shutting guys down for that reason, it creates some possible issues for the integrity of the sport.

JD's decline from last year to this year is one of the worst one year drop offs that I've seen. His current fWAR is -.8. This is similar to what Pablo did when he joined the Sox.

The thing is that JD is here for one thing. To hit, and hit it hard. He can't run and he is a defensive liability.

At least Pablow could field his position, albeit generating seismic readings at the Weston Observatory. And he could run faster than JD.

Plus Pablow had comedic value.

Well, the more I make, the more it means we're winning!

If he were not 100% healthy, then shutting him down makes sense. But he worked his way back to health and pitched well. It's only 1 or 2 more starts anyway.

When he was working his way back, I initially posted that the Sox should just shut him down. I've changed my mind. The games might be meaningless to the Sox, but many of them are not meaningless to other teams.

Pablo definitely had comedic value to most of you guys.

Can we play spoilers against the Yankees? At least show up to this series and ruin it for them from winning the division.

It is time for the Red Sox to stop being the Yankees' punching bag.

On the other hand, JD had 2 great seasons and 1 great postseason for us.

Pablo had zero.

Yes he did. It could be argued he was the best power bat in baseball those two years. For that he has some of my respect.

Now he just sucks. And sucks hard.

Trade him to some team that thinks they can fix him. Sox need pitching.
