Interesting listening to Remy and Eck--each claiming they never had fun playing, due to the stress. (Wonder if the guys they cite as different--i.e., Verdugo--might feel the same way.)

It was all the greenies.

This may be the wrong time to be whining about 'stress.' I mean, seriously?

They put you on edge for sure .....so I hear .

Tonight was a highball and trying not to fall asleep on the couch.

Bad pitching can negatively effect a team's offense. Bad pitching pretty much negatively effects everything. It's similar to a pandemic.

Truth.

Can we DFA some folks tonight not trying to be rude just asking .Do we have anyone we may try out at this point ? Rush the farm or just punt this year ? A 3 game losing streak is like losing 9 strait .

I wouldn’t be opposed. We can’t get any worse than this junk.

I haven't been keeping up to date with the farm. Are there really any good pitching options there? If so, that would be a first.

BTs are doing their part. Offense two nights in a row is trying to make this a game. When the pitching puts you down 6 plus in the first couple innings it’s nearly impossible to win. If we had even half ass pitching we would be just fine. No amount of offense can save this pitching.

In my opinion Thad Ward who many say is two years away is better than everyone we have starting not named Sale or Erod or Evoldi .He can hit a few guys but he’s a hell of a pitcher .Wont happen but I’d be tempted .

Good to know. Thanks.

3 runs really isn’t much at Fenway

4 isn’t always enough to win but you would think with decent pitching would be enough to win at least one of our last two.

Here's a scary thought. If the SOX staff is allowing offense challenged teams like the O's and Mets to score a bunch of runs, what happens when the SOX face truly offensive teams? Be afraid, be very afraid.

Even offensively challenged teams have guys who can hurt you. Conforto and Alonso are 2 of the best young power hitters in the game (Alonso might be the best power hitter period).

Offensively challenged teams can't string together 5-6 hits in a row, but they can hit homers. What the Mets did was hit multi-run homers. All of the Sox homers this year have been solo. Any pitcher will tell you they really don't care about giving up solo homers; they don't hurt you any worse than 3 singles, and in fact are probably better since once the guy crosses the plate, you start clean with no one on base.
