This brings up something I've wondered about at times - the demographics of posters here. I'll start the ball rolling, others can chip in if they wish with as much or little info as they choose.

I'm 72, male, retired, and live in Maine. Sox fan all my life.

21, future accountant, brought up as a Sox fan, live in Eastern CT.

First memory of the Red Sox is the 2004 ALCS btw. The 19-8 romping in Game 3 was my 6th birthday

Still can't believe you mis-spelled 'time', though. :D

LOL I know. And not trying to rag on Dewey, as we all make typos, but that really bothers my OCD.

It's like the thread that was once titled "post teh funnehz". That one bothered me for several reasons, until YOTN finally changed it to "Funny Things".

Yeah . I just noticed that . We all know , that while there is no " I " in " team " , there is definitely one in " time."

Are you older than me? I'm 79 and have seen a lot of the Sox and am a fan in both good and bad times, as I hope everyone here is. Hang in there, we need to add perspective.

Thanks old-timer . I'm the same age . Saw Ted Williams play many times .

I'm a high school math teacher and math geek in VA.

If you want to know my age, you'll have to solve this math problem:

9 + 2 * 5^2 - 15 * sin 90 + (ln 1) / 3

Man, I really hope I didn't screw that up. LOL

Since the last time I was here , there seems to have been nothing but trouble and turmoil in Red Sox Nation , as well as here on TalkSox . So , with a bow to that true American hero , Mighty Mouse , I give you this : " Mister trouble never hangs around , when he hears this mighty sound ; Here I come to save the day . That means that Dgalehouse is on the way . On the sea and on the land , he's got the situation well in hand . "

very happy to see this dgale! there have been many threads/times where i was looking for a dgale response.

Or 45.59, depending on whether her sine is calculated using degrees or radians...

Wait, is that right? I did it while listening to a lecture

It is correct. And good for you. You are not too far removed from your math classes, so you remember things like sin 90.

LOL I think I love you.

One of my earliest Sox memories is of a journeyman right hander , Denny Galehouse , being blamed for losing a playoff game to Cleveland in 1948. It seemed unfair . It stuck with me and turned me against the idea of scapegoating in general . Hence my screen name .

That's really cool. Must have also been such a blessing watch Ted Williams play. The sad part is, you're not much older than my father

It was actually the Red Sox manager who took the most heat, for starting Galehouse in the first place.

Things never change, really...

Saw Ted play many times . I used to always sit in the left field seats just for that purpose.

Yeah. Grady Little for leaving Pedro in . McNamara , along with Buckner , for 1986. The list goes on .

Phew! Thanks, Bell. This means that I can stop searching my posts over and over looking for my error!

47, a dude, living in Austin TX. Haven't lived in my home town of Portlant Maine for more than 20 years.

I was in San Franciso when Bonds went ape s*** on homers. Got cheap tickets to A's games when they were good and had an amazing pitching staff. Didn't watch any Boston games as it wasn't on TV, but I was a box score fiend.

Landed in Japan, found out about MLB.TV streaming. Many a weekend I'd watch live games on the weekend. Watched the World Series ending in 2004 in a bar that was empty other than the owner of the company I worked for, he was a huge sports fan and gave me that time off. The dude is a legend and I need to thank him again sometime soon.

Glad to see you're helping Keep Austin Weird! It's one of the favorite cities I've ever been to. I went on a tour of UT, but thought it was too far from home so I didn't apply. My brother lives in Houston, and for my birthday, he's taking me to see the Longhorns play West Virginia on the gridiron in October.
