At some point, you just need bodies to fill up a AAA roster. The problem comes when you need to rely on them too much to pitch in the bigs.

Based on the importance of every game at this point in the season, either D-hern or Workman. It's too late for Cora to continue running a day care.

 

Were they available today? Based on the choices made tonight, I’d guess no. That’s info that Cora has and we don’t. DHern went 2 last night, throwing 42 pitches. Workman went 1 1/3, threw 29 pitches, maybe half of which are for strikes. He may have been available for a one inning save, but no way was he going more than 1.
