The group of Sale, Price, Porcello, E Rod, Eovaldi, the pen, Pedey, and the position players simple did not get it done. IF you think that's on DD, well go right ahead. DD maybe responsible for thinning out the farm system but no way is he reponsible for lack of production from the $243M bunch.

I don't think people are kicking him while he is down. It's more about finding a new GM more suited to rebuilding this team over the next few years. DD got us a championship but giving out long term FA contracts,by depleteing the farm system and by spending to the second LT limit. There are several American League teams that are better than us now and that have an extended period of quality. To match that and become competitive we need draft choiced, wise moves in the FA and Trade markets and a way to lessen the burden of underperroming current contracts. I think Shaunessy is correct in thinking DD is gone.
