Paxton for his part has serious gas and he parses it out like its little slivers of spun gold that he has to hold onto as long as he can and only let out under extreme duress.

It absolutely does suck, but I think a big part of the problem is our pitchers are too predictable on top of which none of them has good enough control to keep working the bottom of the zone. They are predictable because for the most part they don't have much variety in their repertoire. Neither Sale nor Price nor ERod has a curveball, for example, and all three depend on fastballs and cut fastballs although Sale does throw a fair number of sliders. He has a very good slider, but is throwing in to righty bats and he is not good at keeping it low.

Well said. I agree.

Well OK...that was a good effort by Paxton v Rafi. I suppose I have to admit that. But even a blind pig finds a turnip once and awhile.

Lets see if Erod wakes up and discovers he is actually on the mound in Yankee Stadium.

Vaz bat has really cooled off.

At one point he was hitting .300 and he is now down to .276

Since July 12 he is hitting .197/.597 in almost 70 PAs. He just had a hot streak, but he really isn't a great hitter.

E Rod has definitely rebounded since the first. The offense is total s***.

If rebounding is going 3 and 2 on most batters. He is a nibbler plain and simple and will be lucky to complete 5 innings. We need more from him if he is our best starter these days.

Just informed that there are 10 teams in MLB that have a higher ERA than the SOX starting staff. I'm guessing all those teams are under .500.

Of those 10 the Rangers are at .500 and the Angels are 2 games over .500. The other 8 are all under .500.

Seriously E Rod has been very good since the first. The Yankees were gonna score folks we knew that. This is on the offense. f*** sakes we just can’t put together a complete game anymore. It’s frustrating as hell

Both pitchers have improved from the 1st. The difference is one gave up a 2 run homer, the other a grand salami. Thank you, Captain Obvious.

Why is it when another team's offense doesn't score against us, it's because our pitcher is pitching well. When our offense doesn't score against an opposing pitcher, it's because our offense sucks?

Inconsistent pile of junk!!!! Man I want August to end quickly so i can watch a team that surely won’t underachieve even coming off a championship season .

Pitchers throwing way off the plate and hitters swinging out of their shoelaces at that s*** and that is Manfred-ball.

I don’t think we have gotten good swings either. I don’t think this guy is as great as you think he is.

We're ranked 7th in the AL, so I guess most of those teams behind us are in the AL. 8 of the 10.
