I see Panini Sandwiches is cutting us up again today. We just cannot hit these kinds of guys worth s***. We have a few guys that can hit them. But far too few.

Sale certainly seems to have regained some command of his Slider and Change at the expense of FB velo. That could be fine except Sales does not throw his Slider for a called strike. He gets guys to chase it out of the zone. If it gets around that his FB velo is like 91-92, tops 93, they just won't chase the Slider. Why would they. They will just sit on weak cheese. We will just have to see.

So he’s topping around 93? Well as long as he looks good.

Biggio just blew himself up in that AB not looking dead red. Sale threw him a get me over and get me ahead 0-0 slider right down the middle. OK to take that pitch even though it was right down the middle. But then he missed a FB, fouling off a pitch he should have been able to handle and then 92 down main st just cruise right past him. Just a horrible AB.

Meh. Devers could replace anyone in the lineup except Bogie and get similar results. Beni's heavy legs are 2d on the team in SB's. The much bigger hole in the lineup is wherever JDM is. Beni's OPS has dropped 50 points from last year, but JDM's has dropped 150 points.

Today Beni has already been walked once, maybe because Travis and Leon follow him and are dog doodoo.

Beni was a lead weight at the top of the order and a main reason why we didn't score in the first inning. Replacing him at the top was the right move. Replacing Betts or XB would not have produced the same results.

Sale just overthrew the ball to get 97 but waaaaaay out of the strike zone. Idiot hitter chased on a 3-2 count to get himself out with runners on.

If Cora has a brain in his head he will remain with Mookie, Rafi, X.....1,2,3 in the order. Bat Beni wherever. By the end of the year 10th might be the right spot in the order for Beni.

Beni with a first fitch popup in front of home plate. Ughh!

Mr Popper Upper strikes, no, pops up again

Sale is no ace. He needs to step up his game if this team is going to have a chance at the playoffs.

Our bullpen got burned up last night so we need to have a 6 run lead when Sale exits the game or we are toast.

Don’t see 97s too often from him anymore. Seems his command is way down when he really throws it.

Although Pannone may well blow up here, he got into the 5th inning on 50 pitches. Sale has 89 through 5, probably good for only 6 innings (new MLB standard). The BP will be needed for 9 outs.

Let Sale pitch 9. Both OB and myself want him to strike out 21.

Yes.. but last year though!

Any resemblance between 2018 and 2019 performances are strictly coincidental

Baby Face is carrying this team on his back, like Julio D used to in 2018. Great performance . Now Sale should get his win.

Should Sale start pitching to contact with today's golf ball. I don't think so.

That is right about the same spot Panini Sandwiches blew apart in Toronto. 50-60 pitches is the most he can give anybody.

There was no way he was going to get a pitch like that past Rafi.
